The WiTH Africa Hackathon (23–27 October 2025) was a five-day virtual innovation challenge bringing together students and emerging changemakers in South Africa to co-create data-driven solutions for the tourism sector. Working in interdisciplinary teams and supported by industry mentors, participants developed dashboards, predictive tools, and AI-powered applications with the potential to be integrated into the WiTH Africa platform. The initiative strengthens collaboration between academia, industry, and innovation ecosystems, with winning teams receiving exclusive passes to the Africa Tech Festival 2025 in Cape Town.
